HOW DO WE MAKE PRAYER A PART OF OUR EVERYDAY LIFE?

We can observe three things Jesus did when he prayed.

A TIME

Jesus often withdrew to a quiet place early in the morning to pray to his Father. Whether it be in the morning, the middle of the day, or before bed at night,  we benefit from Jesus' model for the practice of prayer by setting aside a specific time everyday.

( Psalm 5:3, Mark 1:35, Luke 6:12)

A PLACE

Jesus had a prayer place. Your prayer place
needs to be an undistracted environment where you can pray out loud and perhaps have some worship
music playing in the background.

(Matthew 6:6, Luke 5:16, 11:1)

A PLAN

When Jesus taught His disciples how to pray, He gave His disciples a prayer outline - we call it the Lord’s Prayer. So, go into your prayer time with a plan. Plans change as God speaks, but you often are more focused with a plan than without one.

(Matthew 6:9-15, Luke 11:2-4)
